Connect the Crescent Tour and Bike Safety Workshop

Join Bike Easy's education team for a brief bicycle safety workshop followed by a group ride exploring each element of the Connect the Crescent network.

After the ride you'll have a chance to fill out a survey to share your input on the project, as well as pick up a set of free bike lights!

Connect The Crescent is a demonstration of a continuous, protected network consisting of enhanced crosswalks, improvements to transit, and protected bikeways which feature barriers separating people biking from automobile traffic on routes leading to and through New Orleans’ French Quarter and Central Business District.

This 3-month demonstration, which ends in mid-December, will serve as an opportunity to start a community discussion. We expect the Connect The Crescent network to be experienced by tens of thousands of residents and visitors. We hope it’s safety, accessibility, convenience, and community programs lead to permanent infrastructure improvements across New Orleans and the region.

Central City Community Discussion on Transportation Needs

As part of Connect the Crescent, a 3-month demonstration of improved biking, walking, and transit connections to and from downtown New Orleans, Bike Easy is hosting a discussion for local residents to share thoughts on how best to meet our transportation challenges.

Come and fill out a survey detailing your transportation needs, learn how Connect The Crescent came to be, upcoming engagement opportunities, and give voice to your thoughts about how New Orleans should move forward to better connect everyone to jobs, resources, and opportunity.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
